Hultafors Hatchet / Axe (H 009 SV)

This high quality but compact Hultafors hatchet is a small axe that is ideal for general work in a woodland or garden. Manufactured in blasted and clear-lacquered ironwork.

The wooden handle is curved and made of hickory which is treated with linseed oil. Hultafors axes have been crafted in the traditional way since 1967. The axe head is forged from Swedish axe steel of a constantly high quality. The steel is struck many times until the axe attains its final form, this increases the density of the steel and thereby the durability and life of the axe. The hardening method leaves a clear hard zone within which the axe can be sharpened whilst not detracting from the strength of the edge. Used correctly these trekking axes can last for generations.
