Hatchet / Hand Axe by Bahco

This Bahco Hatchet / Hand Axe is very much an all round general-purpose axe with a thin wide blade for a clean cut.  Like all Bahco tools, this axe is made from good quality steel which responds well to sharpening.  Ideally suited to splitting smaller diameter pieces of wood in making items from the woodland resource eg. mallets, spoons etc. or for splitting kindling.

Fitted with a strong curved ash handle, the axe head is secured by a jagged carbon-fibre wedge. There is also a suspension hole for easy storage when not in use.
