This Bahco Hatchet / Hand Axe is very much an all round general-purpose axe with a thin wide blade for a clean cut. Like all Bahco tools, this axe is made from good quality steel which responds well to sharpening.

Ideally suited to splitting smaller diameter pieces of wood. A good tool for making items from the woodland resource eg. mallets, spoons etc. or for splitting kindling. Fitted with a strong curved ash handle, the axe head is secured by a jagged carbon-fibre wedge. There is also a suspension hole for easy storage when not in use.
